英語強化コース開始 - EPP start

NZ has snow nowadays. I saw snow and hail this morning again. I didnt know north island of NZ has snow! so cold!!

Two days ago, my english preparation course for university started. Maybe some people already know about this course, its 3 months class for International student to improve their English skill in order to catch up with future study, for instance, undergraduate and postgraduate. Basically all university have these kind of course,  and my university have condition that  pass the final exam of this course is equivalent to have 6.5 IELTS score.   Many of my friends recommend this course, so I tried to take it.

Yesterday was the placement test day. I heard that it is just vocabulary test. But it was comprehensive test, had Reading and Dictation and Writing. If you will take this course, I recommend to prepare Dictation before.

The school is kind of big in NZ, so there are many students from all countries. Because I stayed almost just Japanese students school in Toyko, I feel like international now.

I will enjoy this time few months.

テカポ湖 - Tekapo lake

So, I stopped writing in English a little before, and I noticed that my writing skill is getting worse. Then, I start write my blog in English. My objective of this month is to improve my writing skill in English. Keep trying Mikiko.

So,  I visited Tekapo Lake and Christchurch with my boy friend and my friend from Japan last weekend. She is working as a pharmacist in Japan now, but took a holiday and came to see me. I really refreshed because I talked with her.  Even I am getting used to life in NZ, I miss Japanese sometimes. Thanks my sister to visit NZ!
And South island has amazing sceneries. Even winter, it was beautiful. I cannot imagine how beautiful in summer! I like there, and I want to visit again.

By the way, I was impressed by her during this trip. We have know each other more than 10 years, but she got mature so much in this few years. She got reliable and tolerant woman. Then, she was telling me about her job, and I noticed that she has responsible now. However, she said that she was not satisfied with her skill yet, and she is struggle for catching up with colleagues.  Her eyes were filled with hope and enthusiasm. She was so-called a spoiled girl when she was high school. Human may change very much.

I like New Zealand, and I like Kiwi culture to relax. But I miss Japanese and this culture sometimes too.
She inspired me that I am Japanese, and I should not forget Yamato spirit. She woke me up to be keen. Relax and lazy is not same.  Thanks Nagiko,  I remember I am Japanese, I cannot be cunning and smart.
I will move a little by little.
